My Favorite Memory with My GrandmotherOne of my fondest memories with my grandmother dates back to when I was a little child. I still remember the forgotten mountain roads and how every now and then we would talk and laugh along our journey as we traveled to visit her hometown of Jeonju. To this day, the city's small streets, quaint cherry-blossom-lined alleyways and bustling local markets still remain close to my heart. The day that I will never forget was the day my grandmother took me to buy Korean sweet grapes. This was an incredibly special day for me because it was the first time I had ever tried them. As she strolled us through the old farmers market, I anxiously tried to pick out the biggest, sweetest and juiciest bunch. After about an hour of looking around and sampling various clusters, I finally decided on some. Of course, I remember my grandmother encouraging and praising my every decision.

My grandmother then taught me how to de-seed the grapes and create our own delicious grape juice. She explained to me the importance of this task - that the seeds were the natural form of pesticides which kept the vines safe from pests and fungus. We then added a little bit of sugar, so the juice was even sweeter. After that, it was time to enjoy! I still remember how sweet the grape juice tasted and how happy my grandmother was that I had chosen my own bunches of grapes.

My experience that day was truly one I will never forget. The time spent with my grandmother was filled with laughter, bonding and learning. Not only did that experience mark my love for sweet grapes, but it also marked my love for my grandmother. She taught me a valuable lesson that day - that life is precious and it's important to cherish every moment with people and things that ing joy in order to make each day special.

Now, whenever I see a bunch of sweet grapes or even smell the aroma of fresh grape juice, I'm immediately taken back to that moment in time. Whenever I see a grapevine and read the label, “Korean sweet grapes”, my heart fills with joy and smiles. Those sweet grapes remind me of the special bond that I have with my grandmother and the everlasting memories we've shared.
